Moo'd ("we," "our," or "the app") is a mood-tracking and mental wellness app. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using Moo'd, you agree to the practices described here.

Information We Collect

When you create an account and use Moo'd, we collect:

• Account information: email address, first and last name, pronouns, and phone number, provided when you sign up (directly or via Google Sign-In).
• Wellness data you enter: daily mood check-ins, journal entries, and responses to in-app self-assessment surveys.
• App activity: check-in streaks, points earned, unlocked badges, and customization choices (e.g. virtual pet items) used to power the app's progress and rewards features.

We do not collect precise location data, contacts, photos, or browsing history, and we do not use advertising trackers.

How We Use Your Information

• To create and secure your account, and let you log in across sessions.
• To save your mood history, journal entries, and progress so they sync and are available whenever you open the app.
• To personalize your experience (e.g. streaks, badges, and recommended resources).
• To respond if you contact us for support.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share your mood or journal data with advertisers.

Third-Party Services

Moo'd uses the following third-party services to operate:

• Google Firebase (Authentication, Cloud Firestore database, and App Check) — used to sign you in, securely store your account and app data, and protect our backend from abuse.
• Google Sign-In — an optional way to create an account and log in using your Google credentials.

These providers may process data on our behalf under their own privacy and security terms. We do not use any other analytics, advertising, or tracking SDKs.

Data Storage & Security

Your data is stored in Google Cloud Firestore and protected using industry-standard security practices, including encrypted transmission (HTTPS/TLS) between the app and our servers. Access to your account data is tied to your authenticated user account.

Data Retention & Deletion

We retain your account and wellness data for as long as your account is active, so your history remains available to you. If you would like your account and associated data deleted, email us at the address below and we will process your request promptly.

Children's Privacy

Moo'd is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.

Your Choices

• You can edit your profile information within the app.
• You can request a copy or deletion of your data at any time by contacting us.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with a revised effective date.
